Nordenskiöld Land National Park

The Nordenskiöld Land National Park (Norwegian Nordenskiöld land nasjonalpark ) is a 1362 km ² national park on the peninsula Nordenskiöld Land the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen. The National Park includes 1207 km ² land and 155 km ² marine area. The park is one of seven national parks in Svalbard. It was founded in 2003.

The National Park encompasses alpine terrain, flat Nordenskiöld coast, Berzeliusdalen and Reindalen.

Reindalen is the largest glacier -free valley in Svalbard. Due to its climate and soil conditions, it is particularly fruitful and has large covered areas. Accordingly, here many reindeer, which gave its name to the valley to live. At the lower end of the valley is Stormyra, a river delta wetlands and bogs.

On the slopes of Ingeborgfjell in the southwest of the national park there are large breeding colonies of Alkenvögeln, kittiwakes and fulmars.
