Oleg Kvasha

Oleg Vladimirovich Kvasha (Russian Олег Владимирович Кваша; born July 26, 1978 in Moscow, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with Spartak Moscow HK from the Kontinental Hockey League since December 2013.

Career

Kvasha played in Russia during the first HK CSKA Moscow before being selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1996 by the Florida Panthers in the third round as 65th. After one season in the American Hockey League for the Beast of New Haven, he debuted in the 1998/99 season for the Panthers. After two seasons in Florida, he joined the 2000/01 season to the New York Islanders. After his best season 2003/ 04, in which he brought it to 51 points, one strike in the NHL and he bridged at Severstal Cherepovets this time and CSKA Moscow. In 2005 he returned to the Islanders, but there they gave him from the Phoenix Coyotes. In 2006 he decided to return to Russia and played until 2008 for Vityaz Chekhov, before he moved to league rivals HC Traktor Chelyabinsk, which he left in 2009 Atlant Mytischtschi direction.

The 2010/11 season he spent at HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk before he was obliged by Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. As of June 2012, he was back at CSKA Moscow under contract, according to the 2012/13 season he moved to HK Avangard Omsk. In November 2013 it was first released and changed on 1 December 2013 HK Spartak Moscow.
