Parliament of Ã…land
The Lagting (Swedish Lagtinget ) is the parliament of the autonomous Finnish province of Åland based in Mariehamn. The Lagting has 30 seats. Britt Lundberg ( center ) in 2011 was elected President of the Parliament.
History
In 1922 were the first elections held in Åland, and on June 9 In 1922 the Åland Parliament, which was then called county council, at its inaugural meeting. The June 9 has since Åland holiday.
