Pilsbach

Pilsbach is a municipality in Upper Austria in Vöcklabruck district in Hausruckviertel with 615 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The competent jurisdiction is Vöcklabruck.

Geography

Pilsbach is 475 m altitude in Hausruckviertel around 4 km from Vöcklabruck. The expansion is 4.6 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 4.6 km. The total area is 10.2 km ². 45.1 % of the area is forested, 49 % of the land used for agriculture.

Coat of arms

The composite of several parts coat of arms refers primarily with three mountain and creek on the place name. The moon highlights the old belonging to the monastery of Mondsee rule. History

Originally in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria lying, was the place since the 12th century the Duchy of Austria. Since 1490 he is the Principality ' Austria above the Enns ' attributed. In 1991 the community had 554 inhabitants according to the census, in 2001 then 630 inhabitants. The Bauernkapelle Pilsbach exists since 1905. It has around 60 active musicians.
