Ungenach
Ungenach is a municipality in Upper Austria in Vöcklabruck district in Hausruckviertel with 1419 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The competent jurisdiction is Vöcklabruck.

Geography
Ungenach is located 486 m altitude in Hausruckviertel. The expansion is 5.8 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 5.2 km. The total area is 14.3 km ². 13.3% of the area is forested, 78.3 % of the area is used for agriculture.

Coat of arms
Blazon: In a silver green, diagonally left shaft bar; above a golden sun with jets of flame, down a golden toad. The municipality colors are green - white-green.
The coat of arms granted in 1980 symbolized with snake and wave bar as canting arms the place name, which is derived from MHG (UNC snake, snake, snake) and proximity (running water, Ache ). The green color and the sun refer to the agricultural character of the community.
History
Was decisive for the Ungenacher area - as for the whole region - the settlement by the Germanic tribe of the Bavarians in the 7th and 8th centuries. Several villages, especially that end in "-ing " as rich ring Heizing etc. go back to this first colonization wave.
The name Ainwalding rather not, this village name is probably derived from a proper name.
In the year 748 is a tradition in Mondsee book, Abraham ' mentioned. This could be identical with the house name "Abraham" in the village of Zehentpoint; this former farmhouse property sits on a very distinctive point and extends in the colonization safely back very far. It is the time when the monasteries Mondsee ( 748 ) and Kremsmuenster ( 777 ) were established.
Even from the early Middle Ages (. 9./10.Jh ) are Hafner land in the village Oberleim - when, slate ' - and in Ungenach - when, Hafner ' testifies.
Already in 1160 the name Ungenach ' as the seat of the Salzburg ministeriales is first mentioned. Presumably, these are the noble seat, today the house Ungenach 13, ( "host in Ungenach " owned by the Fam Möslinger ) that had nothing to do with the Lord of Ainwalding.
Since 1490 he is the Principality ' Austria above the Enns ' attributed. During the Napoleonic Wars, the place was occupied several times. Since 1918, the town belongs to the province of Upper Austria.
The parish
The original parish was the parish for Ungenach Atzbach. In 1600 a separate vicariate was erected in Ungenach that stood by Atzbach depending.
1619, a separate vicarage was built in Ungenach who stood above the present-day host and in 1878 collapsed. The vicarage was then rebuilt at its present location.
Culture and sights
Musikverein
The Musikverein Ungenach has about 80 musicians and is known for its marching shows. They are also the proud owners since 2005 of Zeman price, a very high honor for band.

Population Development
In 1991, the municipality had 1237 inhabitants according to the census, in 2001 then 1349 inhabitants.
