Pirate Party Croatia

The Piratska stranka (PS, Croatian: Pirate Party ) is a political party in Croatia. It was founded in March 2012, following the example of other Pirate Parties and officially registered on 6 April 2012. The party is a member of Pirate Parties International and participates in the establishment of the European pirates ( PPEU ). In February 2013, the party was first mentioned in national surveys. Thus she would come in the parliamentary elections to 6.4% of the vote.

The party held its first meeting for the European elections in Croatia in 2013 with 12 candidates. They reached 1.13% of the vote. For the election of the Parliament of the Primorje - Gorski Kotar on May 19, 2013, the PS reached 1.33% of the vote. In the concurrent local elections it reached in six cities results between 0.95 % and 3.77%. For the election of the district parliament of Kolodvorsko / Sajmiste, a district of Samobor, about 21 % of the voters, the PS, which thus received two of the nine seats.
