Pollença

Pollença ( Pollensa Castilian ) is a municipality with 16,200 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013 ) in the north of the Spanish Balearic island of Mallorca. In 2006, the proportion of foreigners was 22.9 % ( 3,757 ), the proportion of German population 2.5% ( 407).

The population is concentrated in three settlement areas: the main town of the same seven kilometers away from the coast and the tourist towns of Port de Pollença on the Bay of Pollença and Cala Sant Vicenç on the bay on the north coast. The municipal area of over 150 sq km includes, among other things, the entire peninsula of Formentor.
