Raúl Mesa

Raul Mesa ( born April 16, 1982 in Zaragoza ) is a Spanish volleyball player.

Career

Mesa was founded in 2001 with Pablo Herrera Allepuz Vice Junior World Champion and a year later won the junior title. In the next two years he played with changing partners. In the 2003 World Cup, he retired with Manuel Carrasco Saenz already out in the first round.

From the end of 2004, he again formed a permanent duo with Herrera. The following year, they failed at the World Championships in Berlin to the Estonian quays / Vesik and the Austrians Berger / Doppler. Two months later, they were in Moscow with a 2-1 victory in the final against the Swiss Patrick Heuscher and Stefan Kobel European champions. As defending champion, they came in 2006 in The Hague after a defeat against the Belgians Joosen / Melis and the Swiss brothers Martin and Paul Laciga to seventh place.

At the 2007 World Championships, they were beaten quays / Vesik in the second round again.
