Rennau

Rennau is a municipality in the district of Helmstedt in Lower Saxony ( Germany ). The community Rennau is a member congregation of the Samtgemeinde Grasleben.

Geography

Rennau is located northwest of Helmstedt in the Natural Park Elm Lappwald and is southeast most corner of Hasenwinkel.

Community structure

The community Rennau consists of three parts:

  • Ahmstorf
  • Rennau
  • Rottorf on clothes

History

1022, the village was first mentioned in an episcopal hilde local certificate.

Incorporations

On March 1, 1974, the municipalities Ahmstorf and Rottorf were incorporated.

Policy

The Council of the Municipality Rennau is composed of nine Council women and councilors.

  • Citizens list Rennau (previously: CDU) 6 seats
  • SPD 3 seats

  • As honorary mayor Jörg Minkley (CDU )
  • The volunteer community director Frank Nitsche (General Representative of the velvet municipality mayor )

Economy

The community Rennau has, up to a butcher and a hotel and conference center ( Gudhorst ), about as good as any commercial sites. A proposed by the City of Helmstedt Helmstedt common commercial area between the district and the community Barmke Rennau, just off the Federal Highway 2 was rejected on the part of the municipality Rennau. The community Rennau has also decided to entrust the business development to take into their own hands and is against a planned centralization at the county level.

Traffic

Rennau lies west of the state road 244 and has close a connection to the Federal Highway 2 from Hannover to Berlin.
