Reynaert
Reynaert (* 1955 in Seraing, actually Joseph Reynaerts ) is a Belgian ( Walloon ) singer and songwriter.
Biography
With 18 years Reynaert began to earn money as a street singer. In 1978 he took part in the music competition of Spa, which he also won the title Cerf - volant. In 1984, he released his first album. In 1988 he participated with the song laissez le soleil briller ( The sun shine let ) covered by the Belgian preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest, which by the Walloon television station RTBF under the title Concours de la chanson Euro vision - was organized national final. He could with the ballad, which he himself had co-written, prevail against the other eleven participants. For the Euro Vision Song Contest 1988, the lyrics of the song has been changed slightly and eventually went under the title Laissez le soleil briller ( Let the sun shine ) at the start. At the competition in Dublin Reynaert was unsuccessful and finished with five points (all from France) 18, and thus the third last place. Laissez le soleil briller was released as a single, but was not a great sales success. Since then it has been quiet around the singer.
