Sandra Kim (born 15 October 1972 Saint- Nicolas- Montegnée, Belgium; actually Sandra Caldarone ) is a Walloon singer of Italian descent who the Euro Vision Song Contest, won in Bergen, Norway on 3 May 1986. This was the only victory for Belgium so far in this competition.
Sandra Kim began at the age of seven years with the singing. Her talent was discovered when she participated in the age of eleven in a singing competition in Tilleur. As a singer for the group Musiclub she appeared with the song Ami Ami on the competition L' ambrogino d' oro in Milan. Six months later, she was selected for Belgium as a participant for the Euro Vision Song Contest 1986.
At the time of their victory in the contest she was only 13 years old, although it in the lyrics of J'aime la vie ( " I love life " ) which sings, " to be only 15" and her birth year initially stated, by 1970. Sandra Kim was the youngest ever winner of the competition. No national jury she had no point. The second-placed Switzerland sensed the chance to get the win and lay still (unsuccessfully) to object to the standings. Only in 1990 the minimum age of participants was set at 16 years. On the single sold in Germany by J'aime la vie is located on the B- side of the English version of the winning song ( Crazy Of Life ).
When Euro Vision Song Contest 1987 presented in Brussels together with Viktor Lazlo the Irish singer Johnny Logan the price of victory.
Later, Kim also worked as a presenter on Belgian television.
