Lize Marke

Lize Brand ( born December 1, 1936 actually Liliane Couck ) is a Belgian singer.

Biography

Brand began her musical career in 1962. Following year she took the two songs Saksisch porselein and Luister naar de wind in the Belgian preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest, which was organized by the Flemish TV station BRT under the title Canzonissima. Saksisch porselein reached the fourth place, while Luister naar de wind came second with 289 points. The singer was thus only three points behind the winner Jacques Raymond. The title was also a minor hit in Belgium. In 1965, she was internally selected by the sender to represent Belgium at the competition. In a preliminary decision, they presented six titles under which the ballad as het weer lente is emerging as the clear winner. When Euro Vision Song Contest 1965 in Naples they had no success with zero points they came together with representatives from Spain, Germany and Finland to the last place. Despite the poor placement, she took over the following years to singing competitions in Switzerland, Bulgaria, Romania and Canada partially successful. With Lize - brand show 1965 the singer also their own television show in Belgium. From the mid- 1970s she was less talked about, but she has to date regularly live performances. In the course of her career, the singer released many records. In addition to its own titles, it is known mainly for Dutch cover versions of international hits.
