Rockstedt

Rockstedt is a municipality in the southwestern Kyffhauserkreis ( Thuringia). It lies on the north bank of the Helbe about two kilometers east of the city Ebeleben. Ebeleben is fulfilling community for Rockstedt.

The community Rockstedt is over 1000 years old. Otto I. gave his estate in the western Rockstedt 956 the archbishopric of Magdeburg. Otto II confirmed this donation 973 In the same year the community came through exchange to the monastery of Fulda.
