Royal Holloway is a college of the University of London and is considered one of the leading UK universities in terms of international reputation, as well as research and teaching. It is one according to international rankings of the leading 1% of world universities. History

The Royal Holloway in 1879 by entrepreneur and philanthropist Thomas Holloway ( 1800-1883 ) and was admitted to the University of London in 1900; the institution is located in Egham, located approximately 30 miles from London. In 1886, the University of Queen Victoria was opened for young women. It was only from 1965 men were admitted to study.

In 1985, the Royal Holloway College merged with Bedford College and has since officially called Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, but to the public shall continue to operate under its original name.
