Russian National Football League

The first division is the second Russian soccer division and operated by the Russian Football League. The league consists of 18 teams, of which rise two each season in the league and five Premjer relegated to the second division.

History

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, all clubs in the Soviet Premjer Division and Soviet were 1st Division along a single top league, which the new first league game called second class was limited to regional level.
