Sandie Jones

Sandie Jones (born 1954 in Cork) is an Irish pop singer of the 1970s.

She represented Ireland at the Euro Vision Song Contest 1972 in Edinburgh. She sang the only participant ever in the history of the competition a title in the Irish language (Gaelic): the hit Ceol to GHRA (German: Music of Love) reached number 15 in the contest, in the Irish charts the song went straight to number 1.

After that, she worked for several years active in the Showband scene and had her own combo, the Sandie Jones Band.
