Schöfweg

Schoefweg is a town in Lower Bavaria Freyung -Grafenau and a member of the administrative community Schoenberg. The state-approved climatic health resort is located on the border of the neighboring county Deggendorf Brotjacklriegel.

Geography

Geographical Location

The municipality is located in the Donau-Wald Bavarian Forest on the northern slopes of the 1016 meter high Brotjacklriegel and to the district of Deggendorf district and adjacent rain. Schoefweg located by the B533 around 20 km from the A3 (exit Hengersberg ), 25 km east of Deggendorf, 22 km south of rain, 18 km west of Grafenau and 45 km north of Passau.

History

Schwefweg, an early possession of the Bishopric of Passau, Passau arable pointed in the middle of the 13th century from twelve fiefs. In 1308 it came into the hands of Christian von Urleinsberg. In Halser Salbuch it is mentioned in 1395 as Scheffweg and belonged already back to the blast pen. Later, it was with Hilgen Reith and other villages of the Hofmark Haingut.

1603 bought Duke Maximilian I. the area as part of the rule winemakers. Schoefweg belonged to Rentamt Straubing and the district court Diessenstein of the Electorate of Bavaria. To 1808, the Exeremit Anton Franz Seraph Flurl built a Notschule in Schoefweg and 1814 caused the construction of their own school building. Allhartsmais
