Ségrie-Fontaine

Ségrie -Fontaine is a commune with 413 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Orne in Basse-Normandie region.

Geography

Ségrie -Fontaine is situated 14 kilometers north east of Flers and is drained by the river Rouvre. The municipality is located in the Norman Switzerland, on a granite plateau and is surrounded by a hilly landscape.

Culture and sights

In the hamlet Le Logis exists an old farm that was built from the stones of the old castle. This belonged to the Marquis of Norville ( Seine- Maritime) and was destroyed during the French Revolution.

Economy and infrastructure

Of the approximately 650 hectares of the municipality is about 450 agricultural use. The population is also predominantly oriented agriculture. However, there is also a bakery, a butcher, a grocery store, a Nähgeschäft, a construction and flower market, a wine merchant and a gas station.

In Ségrie -Fontaine there is a primary school with around a hundred students, of which about half comes from surrounding communities. In addition, there are eight teams in this are 90 football players, 60 judokas, 23 rowers, among others
