Siiri Rantanen

Siiri Johanna Rantanen ( born December 14, 1924 in Tohmajärvi as Siiri Lintunen ) is a former Finnish cross country skier who competed in the 1950s and 1960s.

Your biggest achievement is winning the gold medal with the Finnish 3x5 km relay at the Olympic Winter Games in 1956, together with Sirkka Polkunen and Mirja Hietamies. In addition, it was established in 1952 and 1960, once each third party. At World Championships Rantanen won three silver and two bronze medals.

1954, 1956, 1958 and 1959, she was elected to the Finnish Sportswoman of the Year. After the end of her long- running career she denied Cross runs and bike races.
