Soyen
Soyen is located at the Inn a community in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim, 5 km north-northwest of Wasserburg. Remnants of the old castles High Castle and Königswart have today points to the historical past of the place.

Geography
Geographical Location
The last ice age, and with it the Inngletscher formed a hilly landscape and also formed several lakes. The Altensee and Soyensee lakes are popular today.

History
The first documented records go back to the year 816. Soyen was part of the duchy of Bavaria and belonged to Rentamt Munich and the judicial district of Wasserburg. Soyen was in the course of administrative reform in Bavaria in 1818 an independent political community.
Incorporations
On January 1, 1882, the church united with the community Buchsee Soyen. On 1 April 1971 parts of the dissolved municipalities Schlee field and Allmannsau were incorporated. On 1 July 1971, the municipality of simplicity was added.
Policy
The council consists of 14 councilors Soyener and the honorary first mayor Karl Fischberger. All local councils occurred in the 2008 local elections on a single list (CDU Community Soyen ). There are no fractions in the local council
Mayor
Since 2008 has served as the first mayor Karl Fischberger. Its predecessors were Kebinger Lorenz (1996-2008) and Hans Zoßeder.
Culture and sights
In Soyen there are many churches and chapels, such as the parish church of St. Peter in vineyards or the former pilgrimage church of the Assumption Church in riding.
As considerable industrial monument is the great railway bridge in Königswart that spans the valley of the river Inn, named.
