Stefano Pioli (born 19 October 1965 Parma, Italy ) is an Italian football coach and former player.

Biography

Playing career

Pioli began his football career in his native city of Parma, he already played the youth for the resident AC Parma. In 1982 he was appointed to the first team that played at present in the C series. There he played until 1984 and was in his last season even celebrate promotion to the B series. He then signed for Italian champions Juventus. The first season with Juventus was highly successful, although the team was only sixth in Serie A, but to win the European Champions Cup. Coaching career

A year after Pioli had ended his playing career was youth coach at FC Bologna. From there he moved after three years to AC Chievo Verona, where for a year he also worked as a youth coach.
