Taiskirchen in Innkreis ( Bavarian: Tåskira ) is a market town in Upper Austria in the district of Ried in the Innviertel with 2447 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Ried.

Geography
Taiskirchen in Innkreis is 475 m altitude in Innviertel. The expansion is 7.7 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 7.6 km. The total area is 34.53 km ². 13.7% of the area is forested, 79.4 % of the area is used for agriculture.

Coat of arms
Blazon: From silver and blue diagonally left riveted; covered with a red slant bar with three silver, gestümmelten of the catch eagles. The municipality colors are red, white and blue.
Taiskirchen leads since 1978 the municipal coat of arms. There are the coat of arms of Bavaria ( blue - white ) as well as the coat of arms of Lorraine ( Banner with eagle ) combined. This testifies that the Innviertel and thus Taiskirchen the Treaty of Munich, with the boundary conditions have been established, was Bavarian until the Peace of Teschen in 1779, or until 1816.
History
Since the establishment of the Duchy of Bavaria, the place was Bavarian until 1779 and came to the Peace of Teschen with the Innviertel (then Innbaiern ) to Austria. During the Napoleonic Wars shortly royal Bavarian, it belongs since 1814 finally returned to Austria above the Enns. After the annexation of Austria to the German Reich on 13 March 1938, the village belonged to the Upper Danube. After 1945 the restoration of Upper Austria. Culture and sights
Simon and Jude Parish
The parish church is in its overall architectural form one of the most beautiful late Gothic hall churches in Innviertel. Some Holy figures come from the family of artists Innviertler Schwanthalerstraße. The parish church Taiskirchen was built in the 15th century.
In 2006 the church was outside refurbished.
Music
The Marktmusikkapelle was established in 1849 with a strength of 14 men by Joseph Gramberger.
It currently has about 75 members.

Achievements

Recreational
Right in the village is the starting point of Taiskirchnerrad and hiking trail. The well-known as a particularly family-friendly cycle route leads through the hilly landscape of the central Innviertel and is often used by tourists.
Reservoir Taiskirchen
The retention basin Pramtal - is like lake officially known - was built between 1978 and 1980 to the municipal boundaries of Taiskirchen in Innkreis, Pram and Dorf an der Pram. The reservoir is thus located on the district boundaries of Ried, Schärding and Gries churches. The retention basin has an area of 6 ha groundwater The water of the swimming holes corresponds to the requirements related to a bathing water according baths Hygiene Regulation. The tents and grilling at the given locations is free.

Each year, a football tournament is organized amateur sports field. It usually play 10 teams with 6 players. In 2007, the team was able to prevail Wiats to Riyadh and beat in the final of the team Team 7 5-0.
In winter, the surface lift opens on Kinzenberg.
