Thomas Rogne ( born June 29, 1990 Bærum ) is a Norwegian football player. Since 2013 he is in England at Wigan Athletic under contract.
Club career
Born in Bærum Rogne grew up in the small ski resort on Lommedalen in whose football team Lommedalen IL, he began his career. About Bærum SK he then moved as a talent to a large club in the region, Stabæk IF, for whom he made his professional debut in the 2007 season.
Overall, he then received in the closing stages of the season three league games as a player exchange, in which he left a very mellow impression for his young age. At the end of the season he celebrated in a row with the team the runner-up title in the Tippeligaen. Also, due to its origin as one of the few " locals " in the squad Stabæk him much attention was then paid by the local press.
For the 2008 season was expected to be a breakthrough of the player, however, failed to materialize due to a torn ACL. Stabæk celebrated their first championship in the history of the club and moved into Cup final, in which one but against Vålerenga Oslo drew the short straw. Rogne was the whole season convalescent and came to no single league use.
For the 2009 season, he managed in the play-offs of the Europa League qualifier against FC Valencia one keenly awaited comeback in the first team. Although Stabæk had against the Spaniards in the two matches and lost no chance with a total score of 1:7. Rogne played in two games outstanding against the Spanish champions David Villa and had it mostly under control.
He then had to fight through the beginning of the season again with several minor injuries, so he could fight for a regular place only in the second half. After the contract in Glasgow after three seasons in which he was twice Champion and one Cup Winners' Cup was not renewed, he moved free transfer to Wigan Athletic.
National
After use in the Norwegian U-19 national team Rogne is currently in the squad of the U-21 national team, with whom he is in Denmark just to qualify for the U-21 European Championship. On March 14, 2011, he was appointed the coach of the Norwegian national team Egil Olsen in the squad for the European Championship qualifier against Denmark on 26 March 2011.
