Tiercelet
Tiercelet ( German: Lahr, Luxembourgish: Däitsch - Lahr ) is a commune with 648 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Meurthe -et -Moselle in the Lorraine region.
Geography
To Tiercelet include the districts Cussange and Bourenne. Neighboring municipalities are Hussigny- Godbrange in the north, Thil in the northeast, Villerupt in the east, Bréhain -la -Ville in the south and Villers- la -Montagne in the West. In addition Tiercelet had a station on the railway line Valleroy - Villerupt.
History
The town was first mentioned in 1169 as Lare. Then: Leirs -le- Tyoix ( 1333), Lar ( 1528), Tiercelet (1793).
Michel Brier 's mayor since 2001. In 2014 local elections.
