Toni Rajala

Toni Rajala (born 29 March 1991 Parkano ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is under contract with HV71 Jonkoping in the Svenska Hockey ligands since October 2013.

Career

Toni Rajala began his career as a hockey player at youth level Ilves Tampere, for the first team, he made his debut in the SM- liiga in the 2008 /09 season. The attacker scored two goals in 24 games and prepared three before. He also ran on the second-rate Mestis in four games for the Finnish U20 national team. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2009 in the fourth round as a total of 101 players from the Edmonton Oilers. He subsequently received an NHL entry-level contract term of three years from the Oilers. First, however, the links Sagittarius changed for the 2009/10 season with the Brandon Wheat Kings in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League. In the Memorial Cup in 2010, the player was awarded the fairest player of the tournament with the George Parsons Trophy.

For the 2010/11 season on loan Rajala returned to Ilves Tampere in the SM- liiga back. This loan was extended a year later by a further season before Rajala was sent in September 2013 to the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League. For the Barons Rajala scored in the Episode 61 scorer points in 63 AHL games. In August 2013, Rajala agreed to terminate the contract with the Oilers and was then without a club before he was hired by the HV71.

Internationally

For Rajala Finland took part in the junior level at the U18 World Junior Championships in 2008 and 2009 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
