Stockton Thunder

The Stockton Thunder are an American ice hockey team from Stockton, California. The team plays in the ECHL since 2005. In the National Hockey League, Stockport Thunder entertain a partnership with the New York Islanders.

History

The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL were in the summer of 2005 to Stockton, California, relocated and renamed the Stockton Thunder. After they had in their first season yet completed on the fifth and thus, in the place of the Pacific Division, the Thunder qualified then three times in a row for the playoffs for the Kelly Cup, but resigned in each of these three seasons in the second playoff round from. Here they lost in the 2006/07 season to the eventual champions Idaho Steelheads, and in the following two years, respectively Las Vegas Wranglers. In the 2012/13 season was achieved in the meantime seventh playoff participation in consequence of the first-time entry into the finals to the Kelly Cup, where the team in five games to the Reading Royals defeated.
