Troy Bodie

Troy Bodie (born 25 January 1985 in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who stands in July 2013 in the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Troy Bodie began his career as a hockey player with the Kelowna Rockets, for by 2006 he was active from 2002 in the Western Hockey League. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in the ninth round in 2003 when a total of 278 players from the Edmonton Oilers, for whom he never played. In the season 2006/07 attackers stood for Edmonton's farm team in the American Hockey League, the Hamilton Bulldogs, as well as for the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL on the ice. In the following season Bodie played for Edmondtons new farm team, the AHL club Springfield Falcons.

From the summer of 2008 Troy Bodie stood by the Anaheim Ducks under contract. Initially, he was taken before the season in the squad of Anaheim's farm team Iowa Chops, before he made his debut in the National Hockey League for the Ducks announced on 16 January 2009, when he was used in the away game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

In June 2009, Bodie signed a contract for two more years in Anaheim before the end of June 2011. In the 2009/10 season he was mainly at the Anaheim Ducks in the NHL in use, but also gained playing experience in the San Antonio Rampage and Toronto Marlies the AHL.

In November 2010 he was set up by the Anaheim Ducks to the Waiverliste and then selected by the Carolina Hurricanes. There he finished the game in 2009/10 as a regular force with 50 inserts in the regular season, but spent the next two seasons in the American Hockey League. In July 2013 Bodie signed a one year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
