Morgan Rielly

Morgan Rielly ( born March 9, 1994, West Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. Since 2013 he plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League on the position of the defender.

Career

Rielly was playing for the Notre Dame Hounds in the Canadian Junior Football League Saskatchewan Midget Hockey League ( SMHL ) when he ( WHL) was selected second overall position of the Moose Jaw Warriors in the Bantam Draft 2009, the Western Hockey League. After another season in the SMHL he moved to the beginning of the WHL season 2010/ 11 in the squad of Warriors. In his rookie season in the WHL, he came in 65 games available for use, thereby pass him 29 points scorer. The following season he retired after 18 games in which he could show a section of 1 points per game, a cruciate ligament injury to and fell for the rest of the regular season. After several months of break Morgan Rielly returned to the beginning of the Eastern Conference finals back to his team and completed all five games against the Moose Jaws Edmonton Oil Kings, against whom they defeated in the fifth game of the best- of-seven series.

NHL Entry Draft 2012, he was selected in the first round in fifth position of the Toronto Maple Leafs. He remained for the time being in the squad of Warriors, before he is in the NHL squad the Maple Leafs since the beginning of the 2013/14 season.

Internationally

Morgan Rielly was a member of Team Canada Pacific, which won the bronze medal at the World U -17 Hockey Challenge, 2011. The defender represented his country with the Canadian national team for the first time at the U18 World Cup 2011. In this tournament, he took his team to fourth place after the Canadians lost the semifinal against American selection and in the subsequent place match of the Russian team documents. He had another Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament use in 2011, in which he was able to earn the gold medal with the Canadians.
