Trnjane (Negotin)

Trnjane (Cyrillic Трњане ) is a village in the Opština Negotin, in the district of Bor in eastern Serbia. It lies on the River Jasenická Reka. The village was, like other villages in the region, more than once resettled.

History

The first time is mentioned the village in the 16th century. In Austria -Hungarian maps of the region, the village is mentioned in 1736 under the name of Trnava. It was not until 1811 the village is mentioned under the name Trnjane.
