United Nations Security Council Resolution 140

Resolution 140 of the UN Security Council is a resolution that was decided by the United Nations Security Council in the 870th meeting held on June 29, 1960 unanimously. They dealt with the recording of Madagascar as a new member of the United Nations.

Background
