The University of Technology, Sydney (UTS ) is a technical university in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The University is currently led by the Chancellor Professor Vicki Sara and her deputy, Prof. Ross Milbourne.

In 2005, the UTS ranked according to the Times Higher Education Supplement ranked 87th among the world's top 100 universities, what, is, assuming that there are 20,000 universities around the world within the top 0.5%. The following year, 2006, however, the UTS could not take a place in this list.

Currently, the University is a new building of the American architect Frank Gehry extended (completion in 2014 ).
