Václav Nedorost

Václav Nedorost ( born March 16, 1982 in České Budějovice, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech professional ice hockey player who plays for HK Donbass Donetsk in the Kontinental Hockey League on the position of the center since May 2012.

Career

Nedorost selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 2000 in the first round at a total of 14 round by the Colorado Avalanche, but was still a game time at his hometown club HC České Budějovice in the Czech Extraliga.

In North America, he played for the Hershey Bears, the farm team of Colorado, in the American Hockey League and won there by a strong performance, which earned him yet in the same season, a place in the NHL team. After two seasons for the franchise from Denver, the Czech was transferred on July 19, 2003, in cooperation with Éric Messier to the Florida Panthers, Colorado received in return Peter Worrell and a second-round draft pick for the NHL Entry Draft in 2004. In Florida, the striker hovered constantly between NHL team and farm team and so came only 32 inserts for the Panthers as well as 21 games for the San Antonio Rampage in the AHL.

During the lockout in the 2004/ 05 NHL season Nedorst returned to his home and ran for White Tigers Liberec, in the following season, he completed due to a violation of a single game. After his injury, he did not return to the NHL, but remained in the Czech Extraliga and returned in the 2006/07 season back for one season for HC České Budějovice, where he had already played in his youth.

After the season, the Center signed a contract back in Liberec over three years, which he fulfilled, significant achievements were made ​​, however. On 19 May 2010 the attacker has signed a one-year contract with Metallurg Novokuznetsk of the Kontinental Hockey League. After a year in Novokuznetsk Nedorost moved within the KHL for HC Lev Poprad, again a year later to HK Donbass Donetsk.

Internationally

At the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship 2000, he ran on both the U18 and the U20 Juniors of the Czech national ice hockey team. With the U-20 selection, he won the gold medal, he was able to repeat a year later this success. An insert in the men's team has so far been denied.
