Vladimir Tarasenko
Vladimir Andreyevich Tarasenko (Russian Владимир Андреевич Тарасенко; born 13 December 1991 in Novosibirsk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player standing since June 2012 with the St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League contract. His father Andrei was also a professional hockey player.
Career
Vladimir Tarasenko began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the HK Sibir Novosibirsk, for the second team, he was active in the 2007/08 season in the league Perwaja, the third Russian league. Then the attacker was in the 2008 /09 season his debut for the first team of HK Sibir Novosibirsk in the Kontinental Hockey League newly established. Here he succeeded in his rookie year in 38 games ten points scorer. In the following season, the Russian junior national team was able to increase significantly in 42 games and scored 24 points scorer, 13 goals. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2010 in the first round than a total of 16 players from the St. Louis Blues.
In January 2012, he was obliged by league rivals SKA Saint Petersburg. In June 2012, he reached an agreement with the St. Louis Blues on an NHL entry-level contract with a term of three years.
Internationally
For Russia Tarasenko took part in the U18 World Youth Championship 2009 and the Ice Hockey World Championships U20 juniors in the years 2010 and 2011. With the U18 national team, he was runner-up in 2009 and the U20 World Cup in 2011. Based on 15 scorer points in seven games, he was also elected to the All- Star team the U18 World Cup. For the seniors selection Tarasenko Russia took part, among others, at the World Cup 2011.
