Walter Folger Brown

Walter Folger Brown ( born May 31, 1869 in Massillon, Stark County, Ohio; † January 26, 1961 in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio ), son of James Marshall and Lavinia Folger Brown, was from 1929 to 1933 United States Postmaster General in the Administration of U.S. President Herbert C. Hoover. He achieved fame through his participation at the Air Mail Scandal. He also represented the State of Ohio as a delegate at the Republican National Convention in 1924, 1928, 1936, 1940 and 1944. He was also from 1911 to 1961 president of the Toledo Humane Society.

Brown was married to a certain Catharine oats, which he took to wife on September 10, 1903. He was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo, Ohio.
