Willibald Joseph MacDonald

Willibald Joseph MacDonald ( born January 27, 1897 in Souris West, Prince Edward Iceland, † 1977) was a Canadian high school teacher and officer. From 1963 to 1969 he was vice- governor of the province of Prince Edward Iceland.

MacDonald graduated from Prince of Wales College and St. Dunstan 's University in Charlottetown, at the Université Laval in Quebec City, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. After that, he taught for several decades at the Prince of Wales College. During the First World War he volunteered for service on the Western Front, in October 1918 he suffered a wound. During the Second World War he commanded the regiment Prince Edward Iceland Highlanders. Governor General Georges Vanier MacDonald Hyndman on 1 August 1963 as Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Iceland. This representative office he held until 6 October 1969.
