Wojtek Wolski

Wojciech " Wojtek " Wolski ( born February 24, 1986 in Zabrze ) is a Polish, Canadian ice hockey player who plays in the KHL for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod since 2013.

Career

After his family had emigrated to Canada, 1.91 m wide center began his hockey career in the Canadian junior leagues Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League and Ontario Hockey League before he of as 21 in the first round of the NHL Entry Draft 2004 selected the Avalanche ( drafted ) was. In the Brampton Battalion he was in the 2005/06 season with 128 points in the regular season the best scorer of the team and the league was in third place behind Rob Schremp and Dave Bolland of the London Knights.

His first nine NHL inserts for Colorado graduated from the links Sagittarius at the beginning of the season 2005/06. Due to the good performance in the Brampton Battalion, the Avalanche took him to the start of the playoffs back into the team. From the following season he was also part of the squad for the Avalanche and managed this season with 50 points in 76 games breakthrough in the NHL.

On 3 March 2010 he was transferred in exchange for Peter Mueller and Kevin Porter to the Phoenix Coyotes. In January 2011, Wolski was given in exchange for Michal Rozsíval to the New York Rangers. This transferred him shortly before the Trade Deadline, February 25, 2012 in exchange for Mike Vernace and a third-round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2013 to the Florida Panthers.

During the lockout Wolski played in Polish Ekstraliga for KH Sanok and then moved to the Washington Capitals. After the shortened season Wolski changes in the Kontinental Hockey League and plays for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod.
