Yamaha XT 250

The motorcycle Yamaha XT 250 is a Japanese Enduro Yamaha, which was built in the years 1979-1990. It is considered little sister of the successful Yamaha XT 500 has, in contrast to Yamaha XT 500 but with an electronic ignition and a cantilever swing arm with central spring strut under the tank as the Yamaha XT 550

The bike was in Germany a power of 13 kW / 17 PS.

Since 2008, Yamaha manufactures a new generation of XT 250. It is sold for example in America and Canada. The machines have not much in common except for the name with the original XT 250. Thus, the current version has disc brakes front and rear and an electric starter. Like its predecessor, but it has a 2- valve engine, which actually considered to be outdated in the early 1980s. When competing models, such as the Kawasaki KLX 250 or the Honda XL 250, 4 - valve engines were installed.
