The Motorcycle FJR 1300 ( Almost Journey and ride ) of the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha was first introduced in 2001.

They reasoned with their nominally 143.5 hp ( 105.5 kW) and a torque of 134.4 Nm at 7000 min - 1, the new segment of performance touring within the class of Tourer. Still controversial among professionals and fans is the assignment to the sport tourers (high engine power) or the tour athletes ( rather moderate lean angle ).

The Ur - FJR, sometimes unofficially referred to as 'Classic'. From 2003 FJR1300 will only be delivered in Germany as ABS models ( symbol ' A' in RP08 and '/ A ' at RP11 ). In 2009, only the "A " models are sold in the 2009 version of Yamaha in Germany, in the "AS" stocks of 2008 will be dissolved.   • Additional 3 hp through optimized catalysts.

The only available from spring 2013 AS additionally receives an upside - down telescopic fork, 12-way electronically adjustable spring elements and a semi-automated manual transmission ( YCC -S). Since autumn 2013, the FJR 1300 is available as AE model. It has in addition to the A model with electronically adjustable spring elements and an upside -down fork.
