Zapotiltic is a municipality in the Mexican state of Jalisco in the Región Sur. The municipality had the Census 2010 29.192 inhabitants; the area of ​​the Municipalities is 253 km ².

Greatest place in the municipality and administrative headquarters is the same Zapotiltic. A second place with at least 1,000 inhabitants exist with El Rincón. Overall, the municipality includes 30 villages.

In the foothills of the Sierra Volcánica Transversal located the municipality Zapotiltic borders the Municipalities Zapotlán el Grande, Tamazula de Gordiano, Tecalitlán and Tuxpan.

The municipality lies at an average of about 1300 m above sea level. A good 40 % of the municipal area is used for agriculture, another 40% is forested.
