Roman Catholic Diocese of Cabimas

The diocese Cabimas (Latin: Dioecesis Cabimensis ) is a location in Venezuela Roman Catholic diocese based in Cabimas.

History

The diocese Cabimas was on 23 July 1965, Pope Paul VI. with the Apostolic Constitution Christianae familiae built out of territory of the Diocese of Maracaibo. On July 7, 1994, the diocese was Cabimas from parts of its territory to the founding of the Diocese of El Vigia - San Carlos del Zulia.

It was the Archdiocese of Maracaibo is a suffragan.
