Roman Catholic Diocese of Maracay

The Diocese of Maracay (Latin: Dioecesis Maracayensis ) is a location in Venezuela Roman Catholic diocese based in Maracay. It includes the state of Aragua.

History

Pope Pius XII. founded the bishopric of Maracay with the Apostolic Constitution Qui Supremi Pontificatus on June 21, 1958 from cessions of territory of the diocese and archdiocese Calabozo Valencia en Venezuela, where it has been assumed as a suffragan.
