Roman Catholic Diocese of Guanare

The diocese Guanare (Latin: Dioecesis Guanarensis ) is a location in Venezuela Roman Catholic diocese based in Guanare. It includes a part of the state of Portuguesa.

History

Pope Pius XII. founded the Episcopate on 7 June 1954 with the Apostolic Constitution Ex quo tempore of Territiorien the dioceses Calabozo and Barquisimeto.

On December 27, 2002, it lost part of its territory to the diocese Acarigua - Araure.
