- The Fontana was built according to the plans of the late Nicola Salvi in 1751 di Trevi in Rome is completed after 30 years of construction.
Painting
- The Italian Baroque painter Francesco Sozzi painted the fresco Allegory of Wisdom in the Biblioteca di Palazzo di Alliata Pietratagliata in Palermo.
- The British painter George Stubbs made around 1762 his most famous painting Whistle Jacket. Stubbs is known primarily for the anatomically accurate reproduction of his animal subjects.
