1951 World Snooker Championship

The Snooker World Cup 1951 was a tournament that was held for the second time in the Tower Circus in Blackpool, England.

In the final, the Scot Walter Donaldson and the Englishman Fred Davis stood, for the fifth time in a row since 1947, over. With a 58:39 victory, Davis secured his third world title after 1948 and 1949. Direct comparison of the two players, it was now 3-2.

The highest break Donaldson scored with 106 points.

After he had beaten the now 45 -year-old two - time runners (1938 and 1939) Sidney Smith with 38:33 in the quarterfinals, the 15 year younger John Pulman was the first time in the semifinals of the tournament.
