1985–86 Polska Liga Hokejowa season
The 1985/86 season was the 51th season of the Polish Hockey League, the highest Polish Ice Hockey league. Master became the second overall time in club history Polonia Bytom. KTH Krynica dismounted in the first league.
Mode
First, the ten teams played a common main round. The top six teams qualified for the final round, the participants all qualified for the playoffs, where the Master was played. The remaining four teams contested a qualifying round, the top two teams also qualified for the playoffs. The two last placed the qualifying round then met each other in a playoff for the league. The results from the main round were incorporated into the final or qualifying round. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
