1997 Thailand Soccer League

The 1997 season was the second season, which was founded in 1996 Thailand Premier League, the highest football league in Thailand. The League was known at that time as Johnnie Walker Thailand Soccer League.

Expulsion

The Royal Thai Police had Tabellenelfte FC in the relegation to the Second of Thailand Division 1 League, take the FC Osotspa M -150. Here, the Osotspa FC prevailed 1-0 and could ascend in the Thailand Premier League, while FC Royal Thai Police were relegated to Division 1 League.

Queen's Cup

On the 26th Queen's Cup was again won by the Thai Farmers Bank, to now a total of 4 times in a row. For the first time the Cup was held without teams from abroad.
