Adam Scott (Golfer)

Adam Derek Scott ( * July 16, 1980 in Adelaide, Australia) is an Australian professional golfer. 2005, he was the youngest player in the Top 10 of the World Golf Rankings.

Career

In his first full season on the European Tour in 2001, Scott has already won his first tournament, in following years, more wins. Also on the North American PGA TOUR Scott was equally successful and brought in the first three seasons, from 2003 to 2005, only four titles. Since 2006 he plays almost exclusively on the PGA Tour. In November 2006, Scott managed the biggest success by winning the TOUR Championship, the highly doped, exclusive final tournament of the PGA Tour. In February 2008, Scott won the Qatar Masters for the second time and placed with his final round of 61 strokes ( 11 under par) a new course record and personal best.

Scott represented his native country in the WGC - World Cup in 2002 and was in the International team at the Presidents Cup in 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013.

His good looks and his Aussie charm have contributed to its popularity in the tournament scene and Scott is, therefore, not only because of his skill level a treasured " object " of all promoters. He is also increasingly seen as a successor to the Australian golf legend Greg Norman. All the more as Scott in 2004, the former caddy of Norman, Tony Navarro, committed. Since July 2011, worn by Steve Williams, the longtime caddy of Tiger Woods, the golf bag of Scott.

By far the biggest success of his career, he celebrated the victory at the Masters in 2013 and reaching the second place in the world rankings. In November of the same year Scott won in the Team Australia Jason Day with the ISPS Handa World Cup of Golf.
