Alexander Radulov

Alexander Radulov (Russian Александр Валерьевич Радулов; born July 5, 1986 in Nizhny Tagil, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with HK CSKA Moscow in the Kontinental Hockey League since July 2012. He is the younger brother of Igor Radulow, the gained experience, among others, at the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League.

Career

The 1.85 m tall striker began his career with Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Super League and the Quebec Remparts in the Quebec Major Junior League Canadian Junior Hockey League before the NHL Entry Draft in 2004 as 15th in the first round by the Nashville Predators has been selected.

After his highly successful junior time in which he was honored, among others, as the best scorer, the most valuable player in the QMJHL and CHL Player of the Year in 2006 and elected to the QMJHL First All -Star team, he played at the beginning of the season 2006/ 07 for the Nashville Farm Team Milwaukee Admirals in the American Hockey League. Due to the benefits shown there, he was soon to NHL Nashville Predators and the squad announced on October 21, 2006 his debut in the top North American professional league against the Vancouver Canucks. His first NHL goal scoring five days later in the game against the San Jose Sharks.

Due to its strong performance as a rookie Radulow was nominated for the taking place in the framework program of the NHL All-Star Game 2007 Young Stars game in which he ran aground in the starting lineup of the team in the Western Conference.

On 11 July 2008 it was announced that Radulow plays in the 2008/ 09 season in Russia's Kontinental Hockey League Salavat Yulaev Ufa for. However Radulow stood for the 2008/ 09 season with the Nashville Predators under contract. Since Radulow had unlawfully signing at the Russian hockey club against an agreement between the NHL and all international hockey associations, he has been banned on July 18 by the IIHF for international matches. On 21 March 2012, the Nashville Predators announced at a press conference that Radulow again switches to the Predators with immediate effect and is still eligible to play already in the course of the regular season 2011/12 for the National Hockey League. Radulow had reached an agreement with the Predators on the commitment because the management had made him the opportunity to bring as his last contract year in Nashville at the end. At the end of the season he left the team and moved on 2 July 2012 for the HK CSKA Moscow back in the KHL.

Internationally

With the Russian national Alexander Radulow won the gold medal at the U20 World Junior Championships in 2005 and 2006 and the silver medal at the U18 World Youth Championship in 2004. At the Junior World Championships, the Russian scored in 18 games five goals and nine assists. He also won in 2008 and 2009, the gold medal at the World Championships with the Sbornaja. In 2007, it was the bronze medal.
