Anette Olzon
Anette Olzon ( born June 21, 1971 in Katrine Holm Anette IngeGerd Olsson ) is a Swedish singer. She was from 2007 to 2012 singer of the Finnish band Nightwish.
Biography
Olzon was raised in Skåne in a musical family. She learned early to play the oboe, was enthusiastic about as a little kid for singing and participated in several talent competitions. At the age of 17 she joined the cover band Take Cover. Later, she was the singer of the band Alyson Avenue. With 21 years Olzon played a central role in the rock musical Gränsland in Helsingborg. This was followed by engagements with other bands and gigs at weddings and in the choir. They also sang a duet with the former Jaded Heart- singer Michael Bormann on his album Conspiracy. From 2007 to 2012 was a singer Olzon in Nightwish.
Olzon studied music at the Copenhagen Conservatory of Music and at the Ballet Academy of Gothenburg. During her studies she also took singing lessons. Today, they commissioned for an occasional private teacher at the Malmö Academy of Music.
Olzon has with her partner, the Pain bassist Johan Husgafvel, two children together and one born in 2001, son of a marriage with the entrepreneur Fredrik Blyckert, with whom she lived in Påarp to divorce in 2008. She now lives with her three children and Husgavfel in Helsingborg, Sweden.
The way to Nightwish
After Nightwish had separated in late 2005 by their former vocalist Tarja Turunen, a new singer was sought. The band asked publicly for applications. In January 2007, the band announced that they had chosen from over 2000 the submitted demo recordings for a person Anette Olzon presented but only in May 2007 as a singer.
Olzon was a cover of Nightwish song Ever Dream of Tuomas Holopainen, the songwriter of Nightwish sent. He asked her shortly thereafter to interpret the instrumental versions of the songs Nemo, Higher Than Hope and Wish I Had an Angel. Holopainen also liked these shots; However, he asked Olzon at some patience regarding a final commitment. Only one and a half years later - and after several personal meetings between Olzon, Holopainen and the other band members - she became the new singer of Nightwish.
On October 1, 2012 Olzon left the band " in agreement ".
Solo career
On December 16, 2013 their single " Falling" was placed in the iTunes store and found a video on YouTube.
For February 28, 2014, the release of her first solo album " Shine" was announced. The publication has since been postponed to March 28. In addition, their new record label EarRecords published on 13 February 2014, the single " Lies" on the video platform MyVideo and a day later worldwide on other websites.
