Arcugnano

Arcugnano is a Northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) with 7808 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Vicenza in the Veneto region. The community is located about 5 km south-southwest of Vicenza in the wine -growing region Berici. In the midst of the municipality is Lake Fimon. The administrative headquarters is located in the district of Torri.

History

The fertile area has been inhabited since pre-Roman antiquity. But are documented settlements in the municipality until the High Middle Ages. Finally, a Church of Arquiniano in the 12th century is mentioned.

Traffic

To the north of the municipal territory, the Autostrada A4 runs from Turin to Trieste. However, a connection does not exist.
